Have you ever wanted to learn the secrets of our famous cheese and chocolate fondue? Well, we are holding our 2nd and final cheese and chocolate cooking class of the year. Guests will learn how to properly make our rich and creamy Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue and our decedent chocolate fondue while they sip on wines specially paired with each fondue.

LONGEST RUNNING WINE TASTING CONTEST IN THE U.S.
It’s the Olympics of wine tasting –an intense battle of the palates—and the oldest event of its kind in the country. Wine aficionados from around the Chicago area will gather to test their taste buds against experts and amateurs alike. Amateurs are defined as a person that has not worked in a facet of the wine industry for the last 3 years.
The event begins with participants rolling up their sleeves and preparing their noses and taste buds. Eight unmarked carafes of fine wine are placed before the competitors and tasting begins. Participants are challenged to identify the grape, producer, place of origin and the vintage of each wine. Each category is assigned points for a correct answer.
The Grand Prize for the highest scorer in each category will be the Coveted Engraved Crystal Wine Decanter and bragging rights for an entire year! To enter, contestants pay an entrance fee of $30 and must be 21 years of age or older. While this is a fun event to test your palate there is a level of seriousness as well.
